"Conducting is connecting with the soul of each musician of the orchestra...". Virgil Popa, founder and in-house conductor of the Stradivari Symphony Orchestra pronounces this words. The Stradivari Symphony Orchestra based in Madrid/Spain was founded in 2014 by the conductor Virgil Popa. At the moment about eighty musicians are part of this great orchestra. An important number of prestigious solistes collaborated with this wonderful ensemble: The violoncellist Dragos Balan, the violinists Margarita Siloeva and Gabor Szabo, as well as Alexey Lukirskiy, soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra. The Stradivari Symphony Orchestra leaded by the conductor Virgil Popa performed a large number of important concerts all over the country in important Halls like the Teatro Príncipe Gran Vía de Madrid and the Teatro Maestro Álvarez Alonso de Martos. The orchestra accompanied by the Chorus Stradivari and the soloists Andreína Williams, Alexandra Barbieri, Miguel Borrallo and Armando del Hoyo performed the Requiem Mess by Mozart in the Basílica de San Francisco el Grande in Madrid, in the Cathedral of Burgos, the Cathedral of Salamanca and the Church Espíritu Santo of Madrid. Furthermore, the Stradivari Symphony Orchestra performed for the first time new compositions showing the support for contemporary composers like Manuel Lillo and Joaquín de Haro.
